Professional situation

She attended the Higher School for Girls in Belgrade and completed her studies of medicine in Zurich in 1879. As a student of medicine, with the rank of medical lieutenant, she participated with Dr. Maria Zibold in the Serbian-Turkish wars, and later, as a doctor, she participated in the Balkan Wars and World War I. She was the first woman doctor in Serbia, and in addition to private practice, she worked in the State Monopoly. She was the founder and first president of the Maternity Association in Belgrade and helped build the "Dr. Elsie Inglis" Hospital.

She translated Maria Manaseina's book entitled O vospitanii deteй v pervыe godы žizni (On Education of Children in the First Years of Life) from Russian.
