Sofija Vujić Maksimović

She was born around 1820 in Ada, in Bačka. She was very young when she entered the circle of "Omladina" ("Youth") with her brother Svetozar and his friend Jaša Ignjatović. She lived in Pest, where she met Milovan Vidaković and Kurelc Fran, who influenced her work.

She spent the last years of her life in Arad.
